i had a chrysler concorde limited 2002 who put in limp mode the transmission and after i turn off the engine and put in P the transmission then turn it on the transmission continue ok, i noticed that the check engine come on when i am in the highway around 120 Km/hr, i am noticed this thing happened when the car is in overdrive and then i push a little harder the gas for pass another car and the transmission shift go down, the light appear and the transmission continue in overdrive until i go slow and then the car stuck in limp mode, the codes are 1776, the last week i take a shop and they changed the solenoid pack but after 3 days the problem came back again, I hope  explained very good the problem to you.
thank you for your answer.

Answer   Hi Carlos,
The 1776 says the low/reverse pressure switch (in the solenoid box which you already changed) is closed when it shouldn't be.
About the only other possible causes for the 1776 is that the transmission control relay or its circuit is weak or open (it is located in the power distribution box under the hood on the driver side#. You could try switching it with another relay of the same part number to see if the problem changes, and if not then the relay is OK. Check fuse Q in the same box to be sure it doesn't have a crack in its wire.
The transmission control module #computer for the transmission) could be bad but that would probably also cause a code in addition to the 1776. Have you checked again for whether you may have new codes?
Also try shaking the wire harnesses to the transmission that come from the controller to see if that affects the problem as it could be a loose or shorted wire in the harness.
Those are the best ideas, unless you have another new code.
The dark green wire for the L/R pressure switch connects pin 2 of the 8-pin plug at the transmission to pin 50 of the trans computer so you could check to see if it is shorted to ground or intermittent connection.
Sorry for the delay as I just found your question in the 'pool' this morning.

Kevin i did everything that roland recomend me and still go in limp-mode until shudo9wn the engine and turn in on and work again, i do not what else to do, i was thinking if i can disconect some wires to by-pass the limp mode fuction if is possible?, i don'twant to expend more money changing parts and don't get fixed, do you think that valve body coul be wrong and these send the car to limp mode?, the car run good but go in to limp mode almost everyday after take the higway. i don't get more codes than p1776.
thanks for your help
thanks for your answer

Answer
Hi Carlos,
Yes, the LR switch valve in the valve body should be checked, which hasn't been tried yet. That appears to me to be the most likely cause of the problem, considering the history and what you have already done.

PS Kevin referred your question to the 'pool' where I found it today.
