Chrysler Repair: 2005 T&C Power Windows: passenger and vent failed, roland roland, rear vent

Question
My passenger window and the vent window on the passenger side both went out at the same time.  Checked fuse (F28).  Have previously replaced window regulators - does not appear to have same symptoms.  No response at all from either switch - driver's side or passenger's side.  Also checked door slam with switch pressed - no luck.  Trying to find a common point in electrical, but can't find schematics.  Can you suggest solution or are schematics available online somewhere?

Answer
Hi Mitch,
I don't see a common fault pathway that would connect the problems of the two windows. The rear vent is only controlled from the driver switch so it either has to be the switch contacts or the motor. You could check for continuity between pin 1 and 13 and between 5 and 11 in the close, and 1 and 9 and between 5 and 13 in the open position.
The passenger window has two possiblities for energizing: at the driver switch up would show continuity between 9 and 4, while down would show continuity between 9 and 2. Then verify that the passenger switch illumination is present and further test for continuity at that switch when off: between 3 and 8 and also between 2 and 5; and when up between 1 and 8, while when down between 1 and 5. If all the switch continuities check out it would appear that you have a coincidental failure of both motors because there is a single supply line for all the windows and within each switch bus lines that supply several pathways for both working and those not working. I can xerox and mail you the diagrams from the '02 manual if you want to check it out yourself. I believe these diagrams apply to your '05 because the fuse 28 is also shown to be the unique source for the power windows.
