Oldsmobile/Buick: Clunking noise from front right tire., oldsmobile bravada, 2000 oldsmobile bravada

Question
I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada with a "new" refurbished engine, one year old transmission and work done before on the front left tire (I think new cv joint, but I don't remember).  I unfotunately put a lot of miles on during the week with a long commute and virtually all roads in Massachusetts are in terrible condition and think it's starting to take a toll on my car.  I'm hearing an inconsistent clunking noise coming from the front right tire.  I usually hear it the most when I'm travlling between 30-40 MPH, but it sparingly happens at lower speeds and not really at all at higher speeds.

Is it an alignment issue or a tie rod on it's way out?  Or worse my cv joint is shot?  Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

Answer
Vinnie ,

Without me physically diagnosing the car its hard for me to say. The problem could be tire/brake related , or what you've already mentioned.

Your best bet is to have the car looked over by an ASE certified mechanic.

If the problem is a tie rod end , tire alignment , brake problem you probably don't want to be on the road when it fails. Better safe then sorry !

Vinnie if you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Don't forget to rate my response to you.

Cheers,
