Chrysler Repair: 2001 Concorde: Wont start/no starter., 2001 chrysler concorde, chrysler concorde

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2001 Chrysler Concorde with a 2.7l V6. It was driving normally and then just stalled. Now it will not crank at all. I turn the key and nothing happens. I checked battery and its at 12v. I can't find any obvious loose wires. I'm at a loss on what to check next. I appreciate your help. Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Paul,
Take a close look at fuse G (40 amp) in the power distribution box under the hood, as it powers the starter relay/starter solenoid and the fuel pump and a section of the ignition switch needed to run the engine. Look carefully to be sure it isn't blown or doesn't have a subtle crack in the internal wire. Then have a helper try the ignition switch to the 'start' position while you listen/feel the starter relay in that same box. That relay is #8, fourth from the inboard end of the box.
Let me know what you learn.
Roland

QUESTION: Thanks for the response. I checked the fuse with my multimeter and it has continuity. The relay softly clicks when the key is turned. But nothing else makes noise.

Answer
Then remove the relay and try jumping from pin B, which has 12v coming from fuse G, to the next pin, D, which is the wire to the starter solnoid. This will do the same thing as the relay itself and so will verify that the internal points of the relay are ok. If the solenoid doesn't click, then either the battery is too weak to activate it, the wire is loose to the solenoid from pin D, or the battery clamps are corroded/loose, or one of the ground wires (the one from the -clamp to point on the body near the frame) is loose.
Pin B and D are ones side by side in the socket (not the other 3).

PS: Also check the ground wire from the transmission to same ground point near the power distribution box where the other battery - wire connects to ground. That engine ground wire (at the transmission) could be loose.
