Chrysler Repair: dynasty stalls, acclerator, car stalls

Question
I drive 1992 dynasty. One day it stalled in t driveway and it sat in the garage for about a month.  I recently replaced the battery to have it start right up but now I must keep foot on acclerator or the car stalls.  What could be the problem?

Answer
Hi Mic,
One of the first tests to do is a readout of the fault codes that have been recognized and stored in the engine control computer. To do this, turn the ignition switch on-off-on-off-on and leave it on, doing this all within an elapsed time of 5 seconds. "on" means the running position of the switch, not the starter position. Then watch the check engine light to come on briefly and then begin a series of flashes, pause, flashes, pause, etc.  You will count the number of flashes between each pause, make a mental note or write down the number; the last two sets of flashes will be 5 in each. Then when the flashing has stopped you can repeat the process to verify that you have the numbers of flashes correctly. Take the number and divide them up in groups of two each, thus forming two digit number. The last such number you form will be 55 because the last two groups of flashes had 5 in each), and 55 is the code for 'the readout is completed'. Then get back to me with the other code numbers that you recorded and that may give us a hint about why the Dynasty won't idle properly. It would be helpful is you could identify for me which engine the car has: a 4 cyl 2.5L. and 6 cyl 3.0L or something else. If the engine will keep running as long as you supply extra gas with you foor, then probably there is something amiss with the fuel system. The codes you readout may get us to the bottom of the issue.
