Chrysler Repair: Dodge caravan brake booster intermittent, dodge caravan, vacuum line

I am having an intermittent problem with my brake booster. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It may work for a day, then not work for a couple of days, then go back to working. Could there be trash in the lines or maybe a leak causing this?

Hi Russell,
I would take a look at the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the power brake cannister, at both ends for loose hose clamps, and along the way for any breaks/cracks in the hose itself. Any such loss of vacuum will impair the boost offered by the system. Also check any hoses that branch off the main hose to be sure they are similarly air tight at their connections.  I can't think of anyother intermittent cause than that unless the power unit itself was failing.
