Chrysler Repair: 00 Neon: No start following no use for a month/security snafu, remote keyless entry, car wont start

Question
QUESTION: Hi my neon was of for a month when I tried to turn it on the car had the flat
battery and the light for immobilizer came on and now I cant start the car.

ANSWER: Hi Goran,
Did you try lock/unlock on the passenger side door in order to disarm the theft system? What is the year of the vehicle? Does the engine start and then die after a few seconds, or not start at all?
The former would say the anti-theft is what is the problem, the latter would say that the engine itself won't start without some work on it. Have you tried to get fault codes using he igntion key?
Have you checked the ignition off draw current drain from the battery to find out why it discharged?
Those are the factors to consider.

QUESTION: Hi again, the car was being repaired from a small accident at the back,it is a 2000 model and the gays at the panel shop had the battery disconected, when they connected the battery they tried to turn on the car, the battery was flat and immobilizer kicked in, ewerything is working, lights, indicators etc, but the car wont start and imm.light is on all the time.

Answer
Hi Goran,
The manual I have is for the '01 model year and it does describe the system which also may be involved in your '00:  the sentry key immobilizer? There is no specific suggestion about a history such as yours, but it does mention 'disarming' via the remote keyless entry,
opening either door with a key, or opening the liftgate with a key, or starting the vehicle with a valid sentry key. I suspect that the draining down of the battery caused the system to unrecognize the sentry key or some such snafu. If you have tried all the possible key locks, and the remote (if you have one) and the arming light on the dash remains 'on', then the theft system may need to be communicated to via a diagnostic readout box at a dealer in order to 'clear' the alarm. If there is a remote keyless module, it may have slipped back into 'dealer lot storage' or 'shipping mode' and may thus need to reminded of how to go back to 'custormer usage' mode.
Let me know about whether all those possible door key entry/remote/sentry key approaches have been tried.  If so, you may have to have it towed to a Chrysler dealer to get the kybosh removed. Please let me know how this resolves.

PS You might check fuses 11, 14, and 16 in the fuse box and also fuse 13 in the power box under the hood as all those are used in this elaborate system.
