Chrysler Repair: evaporator changed: next step to recharge ac, postal mail, ac repair

hey Ron last year i was Abel to change the evaporator with your help i did not get it charged or oiled it i looked for oil from dealer they did not had it at that time . now its summer and i Anna know the next step should i take it to ac repair shop and let them do the evacuation and charging or can i do it my self if i can do it at home what steps should i follow, thanks for all your help in the past looking forward to hear from you

Hi Nauman,
I checked and found that you have a '99 T&C. I personally have not tried to empty or to refill an a/c system. But as I read the manual a refrigerant recovery/recycling machine has to be used along with a set of guages. If you get access to such equipment let me know and I will xerox and postal mail to you the couple of pages that describe the procedure. I believe if you try to do it without the machine it will not fill properly and/or operate properly thereafter. So do let me know when you have the equipment to do it yourself should you want to try.
