Chrysler Repair: 1994 Lebaron Sedan:no spark, no check engine light, chrysler lebaron, check fuse

Question
QUESTION: Hi Roland, thanks for your help so far. I checked and have 12v at fuses 14,15 and 16 under the dash. I also have power at pin 9 of the ecm connector and pins 11 and 12 are grounded. I tried swapping with an ecm and still have no spark and no check engine light on, not even for the key check. This all happened suddenly, was running great. I'm stumped, do you have any advice as to what to check for next? I'm guessing that there is a bad wire/connection somewhere but don't know where to start looking. Thank you again for all your help.

ANSWER: Hi Mike,
Pull the ASD relay (2nd from the outside end of the power distribution box under the hood) and jump from the front pin socket to the back pin socket of the relay which will then provide a solid 12v to the coil. See if you get spark then. If not, then pull the jumper, put the ASD back.  Then see if the fuel pump hums for a second or so when you first turn the key to the 'run' position.
What about the circuit board connection for the check engine light at the cluster? Also check minifuse 44/45 (20 amp) in the power distribution box (second from inboard end of box, front row of fuses).

History:
lebaron no start, no check engine light
Question:  I have a 1995 Chrysler Lebaron that just quit running. It is not getting spark and also the check engine light will not come on with the key to check codes. I swapped bulbs and verified it is not the bulb. I am thinking it is the computer behind the battery, can you help me verify this?

Answer:  Hi Mike,
The check engine light is actuated by a signal from pin 32 of the computer to pin 11 of the red plug on the cluster (black/pink wire). Otherwise if that is OK (but be sure to check the circuit board solder joint for pin 11 of the socket), the computer also needs a 12v supply from the ignition switch so check fuse 14, 15 or 16 under the dash which should show 12v in the 'run' and the 'start' position to verify that the computer is being powered at its pin 9. Pins 11 and 12 of the computer need to show grounded to complete the power to the computer. If all that checks, then the computer itself is suspect.

QUESTION: Thank you, there is no power distribution box under the hood. There are 2 relays on the strut tower and 2 relays on the inner fender. One is the ASD but not sure which, do you know what color wires or relay # it is. The door sticker says manufactured 10/93 and under hood sticker says 1994 as does the title. Thank you, Mike

ANSWER: A ha!
This sounds like the 4-door Lebaron, not the convertible Lebaron. Lets start over... do you have the 2.5L or the 3.0L engine?

QUESTION: Yes it is a 4 door Lebaron, 3.0 L v-6.

Answer
Hi Mike,
What got me started on the convert was that you first called it a '95, which was the year when the convert was the only Lebaron available.
I would suggest that you begin by trying again to get the MIL light to work. It is powered by a black/pink wire on pin L of the black plug at the cluster circuit board. Check the solder joint of that plug socket where it meets the circuit board. Then before you re-install it see if the MIL works and if so read the codes. If it doesn't work, then use your voltmeter on the pin of the socket where when you do the on-off-on-off-on routine you should be able to do the 'flash' count by counting the voltage pulses that show up on the pink/black wire. Then let me know the results. Also, check whether you hear the fuel pump run for a second or so when you turn on the ignition switch to the run position, and also check whether the cross-piece of the "T"-like 2-pin plug at the spark coil similarly shows 12V for a second when you turn the key to run. The dark green/orange wire on that cross-piece pin of the plug comes from the ASD relay and that test will tell us if the ASD relay/pcm are working or not.
Finally check that you have power on fuses 7 and 8 when you have the ignition in the start and the run positions.
