Question
have a 97 stratus 2.5 mtr-  hesitates badly from stop on accell- replace plugs, wires ,02 sensor , timing belt and throttle position sensor,  no improvement-  any ideas?

Answer
Hi Bill,
Did you check the fault code status of the engine controller memory?
You can get that done, often for free, at an Autozone parts store, or for $40 or less at an independent garage. Let me know if you get/got any codes. You would do well to check the egr valve to make sure that its stem moves freely and is closing tightly by means of its spring-action. Injector fouling could be a cause but I would not spend anything on that before the others are checked out. Intake manifold leak/vacuum hose disconnected another possibilitly. Let me know if you need any specific information to pursue any of these.
