Chrysler Repair: sensor changing, camshaft position sensor, every vote counts

Question
HI, Is a camshaft position sensor the same as a cam sensor? If so can you give me the step by step in replacing the camshaft position sensor. I have a 2005 Pacifica with a 3.8L engine. I had someone else ask this question and he has not gotten back. Thanks so much for your help.

Answer
Hi Theodore,
I had an identical question from "ted" yesterday, and here it the response:
"Hi Ted,
It is located between the thermostat housing and the fuel rail nearby, in the chaincase cover. Lift tab to remove harness connector from sensor. There is a bolt to the side of the sensor that holds it in place and a hole in the near by bracket thru which you can insert the socket with extension to get a ratchet onto the bolt. Loosen and remove the bolt, then rotate the sensor away from the block and out of the hole; if it sticks tap on the top of it, it has a 0-ring that may be binding up.
Insert the new sensor with spacer on tip, after having put a few drop of oil around the O-ring; be sure tip touches against cam surface. Hold in touching position while tightening bolt to 10 foot-pounds. Reattach harness.

Please let me know if this is responsive by using the 'thank/rate' tab below. While you are there, if I might ask a favor: where it asks about a 'nomination for expert of the month' I would appreciate your entering a 'yes'. I am in a close race for that honor so every vote counts!
Thanks"
And the names are synonymous.
If you would also give me a vote for expert of the month I would really appreciate that. Let me know if you can't find it.
