Chrysler Repair: 1995 Chrysler Lebaron GTC brake warning light, lebaron gtc, chrysler lebaron

Question
I have a 1995 Chrysler Lebaron GTC, 3.0L engine, that the brake warning lamp has come on. The brakes seem to work okay. I've checked the switches on the emergency brake and the proportioning valve and both seem okay. The light remains on with the connectors to those switches off. I couldn't find a wire or connector on the master cylinder for a low fluid detector. Is there anywhere I can find a circuit diagram of the brake warning light or do you have any ideas on what might be my problem? Thanks.

Answer
Hi Mike,
My '94 manual says the master cylinder reservoir on the Lebaron only has such a low fluid sensor associated with it. I don't have the '95 manual so I can't verify if it was used that year. As soon as I find the wire connection for that sensor I will get back to you with the specifics. I assume this is the same sensor that works for the emergency brake, etc. and not an ABS warning sensor.
The other thing of course to check is whether you may be loosing fluid at any of the four wheels as such a unilateral loss will cause the light to go "on" as well. Look for tell-tale signs of any 'runs' on the inner tire sidewall, and for loss of brake fluid from the master reservoir.

PS Please use the "thank/rate" tab to get back to me without having to wait for me to be available. There is a space for comments, to which I will reply. Also in the evaluation area you will see a tab for "nomination". If you would be so kind as to change that the "yes" I would be most appreciative. Thanks
