Chrysler Repair: interior/exterior lights flicker while driving or when parked and no driver is in car, hi lauren, chrysler 300

Question
I have a 1999 Chrysler 300 M. The interior lights will flicker on and off when I am driving during the day or at night. I have even found the interior lights flickering or staying on when it is parked in the driveway with no one in it. it is now dead probably becasue a light came on when I was at work and did not realize it. What is potentially the probably and is this an expensive fix?

Answer
Hi Lauren,
This is likely a do-it-yourself fix. Just push out/pull-in from inside the car on each of the four door, starting with the drivers's. You will quickly find the door that is not latched firmly enough against the door frame so that it is causing the switch, that turns on the interior lights when you normally open the door, to 'activate' even though you haven't opened the door. All you have to do is loosen the two screws and move the latch striker loop in the door frame in-board a fraction of an inch so that the door is secured more tightly. Test to see if you have solved the problem; if not adjust some more
