Chrysler Repair: 99 concorde ATC illumination intermittent, panel lamps, plastic connector

Question
QUESTION: My ATC works, only problem is digital LED display does not always light up. Don't know what temp I have set, or what control buttom is activated. If I push on plastic connection in back of ATC unit, it works for awhile. I replaced plastic connector and wires, still the same problem. I've had ATC unit apart, everything looks fine. Should I resolder or heat where pins are connected to board. Thanks

ANSWER: Hi Mike,
Yes, the chances are good one of those solder joints between the socket and the circuit board is flaky. So re-heat them and see what that does for you.

QUESTION: Any chance you would know which wire color or pin or # on board would be the one affecting the LED display.

Answer
Yes, the ATC panel lamps feed is an orange wire on pin #4. See if it shows voltage when the ignition is "on", and also check the black wires on pins 1 and 3 of the plug to see if they show 0 ohm to ground.
