Land Rover Repair: RR wont start!, range rover sport, sam s club

Question
QUESTION: Hi John, I have a 2006 Range Rover sport. Driving without any problems, stopped for gas and when I went to start it up, it would not. All the symbols started to flash each time I tried to turn the ignition on. Usually when a battery dies, you can at least hear an attempt from the engine, but I heard nothing! Finally got a "Jump start" and the car started without any problem. When I parked and turned off the ignition, the car wouldn't start again. Got another "Jump start" and it started again! Do you think it's the battery or something else!!! Please help and give me some GOOD News!!

ANSWER: Your description is consistent with a failing battery

QUESTION: Thanks for replying with GOOD News!! Another ? Is it best to get the battery changed at RR dealership, or is it okay to go somewhere like Sam's club that's less expensive???

Answer
I don't know if Sams Club has the correct battery, nor do I know if they have people with the proper skill to install it.  I don't know that I'd send you to the dealer, but I would certainly encourage you to find a shop with actual Range Rover experience.  The biggest problem servicing these cars is finding people with the right skills and tools
