Chrysler Repair: Overhead console, component failure, economical approach

Question
Roland, sorry I forgot to add the year of my vehicle, it's a 1993 town and country.I'm the original owner of the vehicle and the wiring is still installed and all the lights work on the overhead console just the read-out doesn't work it just turned 100k in mileage and everything still works o.k. where is the module located and would you know where i can buy one?

                                        Thanks
                                         William

Answer
Hi William,
The module I refer to is the overhead console itself. If the readout is dark then I suspect you need to replace the entire console unless you are electronically skilled and want to look for a blown capacitor on the circuit board or some such component failure. As to source, my inclination would be to check around at wrecking yards for a '93 and remove it yourself. That is the most economical approach. A '92 or '94 might be identical, the '91 and '95 are not.
