Question
do you have an idea how to remove the camshaft damper, fro 1998 plymount breeze. Itake the bolt out and try whith the jaw puller and nothing can you help me whith.thanks

Answer
Hello Fernando,
I assume that you mean the crankshaft damper. Also do you have a puller whose jaws grasp through the small openings of the damper rather than around the outer diameter? If not then get a different puller that will allow the jaws to grip through the small openings, and have the jaws grasp the inner surface of those openings so as to be as close to the center as possible. You should also use an adapter on the center bolt of the puller which is designed to mate with the end of the crankshaft in such a way as to avoid damaging the threads of the bolt hole of the crankshaft.
Once you have it installed and tightened down as far as you can (and to do that you might want to try and prevent the rotation of the crankshaft by inserting a rod through one of the openings to jamb it against the engine OR you might take off the inspection cover of the bell housing at the back of the engine and similarly jamb a tooth on the ring gear of the flex plate so as to lock up the crankshaft and thus allow you to torque the puller as much as practical...Then I would use as heavy a metal hammer as I had to strike on the head of the puller center bolt's head axially so as to shock the assembly loose.
That is my best suggestion.
Roland
