Chrysler Repair: 1994 Chrysler LHS: ignition switch, interlock service, 1994 chrysler lhs, chrysler lhs

Question
QUESTION: need to pull the steering wheel on my lhs, any worry about the airbag? i know i need to disconnect the battery. need to replace the ignition, the steering wheel won't lock anymore and the key won't stay in the on position, just pops back in the off spot, car starts and then quits, decided that it was the key not staying where it's supposed to. can't find my shop manual, and won't til i go buy a new book, then the old one will showup. now that i have walked all over the question, any and all help would be great. thanks a bunch

ANSWER: Hi John,
The air bag/steering wheel doesn't appear to need to be removed to change the ignition switch.
Disconnect the - post clamp
Remove tilt lever attaching screws, remove lever
Remove upper and lower steering column covers
Remove multifunction switch
Disconnect electrical connector
Remove ignition switch screws.
Install is the reverse. Match the ignition key notch to the tab of the ignition switch.
It could be that you have an issure with the ignition interlock in which case let me know and I can xerox and mail the pages about adjusting that. Let me know if you have the floor or column shift.

QUESTION: it is a floor shift, and if possible, email the pages or mailing them over snailmail, w/ postage due would be just fine.

Answer
Hi John,
Let me know your postal mailing address. It is only about $1 to copy and mail you the 6 pages on the subject. It is hardly worth the cost and effort to recompense me.
