Chrysler Repair: 1994 Chrysler Lebaron 3.0L v6, chrysler lebaron, 1994 chrysler lebaron

Question
Hi, the Lebaron I have has recently had trouble with the battery gauge. While
driving the gauge varys from very high to very low, and the lights have become
dim and blinkers slow. And today the motor started pulling back and shut off unable to restart. Jumpstarted the battery for 10 minutes, and it only made it another few miles before dying again. However the battery (charge) light has not been on. I
replaced the battery to no avail, and have tested the alternator it is working 100%. What should I check next? Also the check engine light is on, the code is 3 4 1 5 4, thanks for your
help.

Answer
Hi Daniel,
I suspect is has to do with the alternator field control function but to sure try reading the codes again. You have to have an even number of pulse counts as the codes are 2-digit. What you have so far is 15 (speed sensor signal from transmission absent), 34 (cruise control solenoid malfunction) and 4? (probably the one we need to know for the charging problem). So do it again, and repeat for accuracy. Let me know if this is a convert or sedan Lebaron, also do you have an automatic or stick shift? Is your speedometer working, and what about the cruise?
