Chrysler Repair: Engine computer rebuilder/exchanger?, exchange unit, engine computer

Good morning, I am trying to help a lady with her car that has a bad engine computer Part # P04671636AH, Module s/n T57EH280867736, SOFTWARE UPDATE 10/07/99. I have tried unsuccessfully to buy a used unit all of which have been either bad or the wrong year. Would it be possible to have the existing unit re-built or get an exchange unit to help the lady get her car back on the road.

Hi Mel,
I haven't run across a pcm rebuilder or exchanger, but then I don't personally get involved in such repairs frequently enough to have sought one myself. No one of my questioners has brought such a business to my attention. On-line "search" engines might locate one if you haven't tried that approach yet.
I wonder if you are certain that the original unit is bad? What fault codes does it show? The P0600 and P0601 would be the codes that corroborate such a failure.
I appreciate your helping out on this problem. That too is my motive in this service. So please let me know if I can be of further help.
