Chrysler Repair: 1997 stratus w/2.4L damper pulley removal, damper pulley, thrust bearing

Question
Is there a special puller needed to remove the damper pulley from the crankshaft? I have removed the bolt and cannot get the pulley to budge. I have tried a 3 jaw puller as Haynes says in the manual, I just can't get it to come off.

Answer
Hi Terry,
The Chrysler shop manual mentions a three jaw puller (Miller tool 1026) and an insert (Miller Tool 6827-A) to avoid thread damage.
Install uses a M12-1.75 x 150 mm bolt, washer, and thrust bearing from Miller tool 6792. Other than hitting the bolt on the head with a brass malet as stated in the Haynes, no other suggestions are given. I wonder if heating it would help? Please let me know how it goes. I wish I could be more helpful.
