Chrysler Repair: 2001 Chrysler Town and Country window problems, chrysler town and country, postal mail

Question
Last week my passenger side window stopped working in the fully down position.  I took it in to the dealer and they replaced the motor.  4 days later my driver's side window stopped working completely as well.  It had occasionally acted up and last week while in the shop they said they greased it.  Are these 2 issues related to each other? Or is just a coincidence that they both stopped working one week apart from each other?  Is there anything that I can try before returning to the shop?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Maggie,
Both windows are powered by the same fuses so if the right works it can't be a fuse. It could be the switch itself, and there is a test one can do using an ohmmeter or continuity tester. Let me know if you need that and I can xerox and postal mail the pages from the manual that show how. The switch might have been disturbed when they greased the window mechanism if the door trim panel was removed to do so, and so that should be checked out as a possible explanation. Otherwise I don't see any common cause for the left and right failures.
