Chrysler Repair: REAR SEAT REMOVAL: Sebring Convert., rear seat removal, top reservoir

Question
QUESTION: How do you remove the rear seat back on a 2005 Sebring Convertible ?  I need to check the fluid level for the convertible top reservoir.
Thanks for your help.

ANSWER: Hi John,
My '03 manuals says to push back at the midline lower edge of each passenger position point and lift up to release from attachment point Don't push on the corners of the cushion. Do that one at a time. That should release the seat.
To install, put seat belts through the loops. Then engage retainer loops in cups on the floor, then push down on forward edge of retainer loop to engage the loop to the floor.
I believe this should apply to the '05 but I can't be certain.

QUESTION: Hi Roland,
This sounds like the procedure to remove the bottom seat cushion (the one you sit on), which is easy. I would like to know how to remove the back of the seat (the cushion that you rest your back against). This has to come out in order to check the fluid level in the convertible top reservoir.
Thank You,
John

Answer
Hi John,
Ooops, didn' read carefully. After you remove the bottom, you remove the center nuts that hold the seat belt bracket in place and remove the belts. The pull the bottom forward until the tabs clear the studs, then push up on the seat to release the hooks that are hidden on the back side of the cushion. When replacing do the reverse, except when the center hook begins to engage as lowering it, push backward on the lower outside corners to engage outboard top hooks. Then push downward to engage all hooks fully. Then push bottom over the studs.
