Chrysler Repair: 2001 Voyager: dash lamps out, fuse box, dash lights

Question
My dash light just went out. Can't view the speedometer at night. How to fix it? Is there a fuse for it? I could not find a fuse box inside the van but I did find a fuse box under the front hood.
All the lights come on except for the dash lights.
I have tried all the settings at the dimmer switch but no luck.

Answer
Hi Don,
I am limited in only having the '98 manual but I think the concepts would apply to your '01. The dash lights are provided power from the body computer which on the same circuit supplies the AC/heater control panel illumination. So if that one works then it has to be the wire that connects the body computer to the dash lights on pin 6 of the cluster or an internal break at the connection of the pin plug to the circuit board of the cluster. If both sets of lights are out, then it is either the body computer or the dimmer connection to the body computer. Ther is no dedicated fuse for the lights.
So look and see the extent of the failure, and get back with any observations.
