Chrysler Repair: rough idle/hesitation 1995 chrysler lebaron 3.0L, chrysler lebaron, hesitation problem

Question
hi roland, our 1995 lebaron 3.0 hesitates and has a rough idle. in the past within the last year and a half I have replaced wires cap rotor ignition module fuel pump fuel filter temp switch engine computer and egr transducer. the car started this after my first tune up. I have pulled and cleaned the egr valve it seems to be seating fine and holds a vacuum. but it does not seem to start openning until after 3000 rpms. are transducers matched to the egr valve and can this be my idle/hesitation problem? or can you think of something else? I have also checked the timing. any help would be much appreciated.
thanks shawn

Answer
Hi Shawn,
How about fault codes? Turn ignition key "on-off-on-off-on and leave on", within an elapsed time of 5 seconds or less. Then count the numbers of flashes of the check engine light, separated by pauses. Then repeat, and write back with the number counts, via the "thank and rate" tab, giving the results in the comments area.
As long as the egr is closed at idle there is no basis for attributing the rough idle to it. When you timed the distributor did you have the coolant temp sensor disconnected?
How about cleaning the throttle plate (both sides) and throat and idle by-pass passage way of the throttle body?
