Chrysler Repair: `99 Chrysler Concorde 3.2 Radiator Replacement, chrysler concorde, radiator replacement

Question
Hello:

My mechanic just told me about a 7" crack in my radiator.  After he quoted me the cost of replacing it, I'm wondering if this is something I can do myself.  Is this repair a one-man job?  Also, can you briefly outline the neccessary steps for completing this job?  Most importantly, will I have to raise the engine or adjust the timing?

Thank you for your assistance.

Answer
Hi DJ,
There are about 12 steps in the removal process and the same for install. None of the steps are challenging, mainly draining the coolant and then disconnecting other hoses and plugging them. The cross member above the radiator is the only part removal that is unusual, but that is simple. I would prefer to xerox copy the pages and postal mail them to you if that would be acceptable. Let me know using the "thank and rate" tab where you can enter you address in the comments area. The engine is in no way involved, nor is anyother major item.
