Chrysler Repair: error code 43, 1994 concord, spark coils, chrysler concord

Question
QUESTION: 1994 chrysler concord, 3.5L. error code 43. car starts butdoes not run smooth and kills. have replaced computer, cam and crank sensors, coil pack, plugs and wires.some have said it simply needs 2 be reprograhmed and its in a limp or sfe mode.

ANSWER: Hi Allen,
My 94 shop manual shows the 43 code is saying that one of more of the three primary spark coils is not drawing the correct current when it is activated. Because you replaced the coil pack I would suggest that you check the wires from the plug back to the pcm to be sure that one is not open or shorting to ground. They go to pins 17,18, and 19 at the PCM. Also check that the stem of the EGR valve is not stuck ajar as that will cause the same poor idle problem. Lubricate the stem with WD-40 where it enters the body of the valve and move it back and forth with the tip of a screwdriver in the slot of the valve stem.

QUESTION: 1st thanks again. ok the 3 wires that go to the coil pack "black red and white" are in a shielded cable, there is a black wire attatched to the shielding i would think is a ground, it was burnt. i replaced the burnt section but still dont know were it goes. this is a strange way to wire something so i dont know if that was done by factory. the wire registers short to ground. and after tracing the shielded wires through the harness back to the "wire block sqare and has 4 big plugs fromm ecm" the end of the wire shielding is not connected to anything??? any  suggestions,  meterd the 3 wires and they are good.no short or open.

Answer
Hi Allen,
According to the wiring diagrams, the shielded wire is to be grounded at the same point as the fat black wire from the battery, at the left front of the engine. I don't beleive it's being detached would affect the engine function, but rather ignition "noise" in the radio. I would suggest disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to erase the codes (except 12 and 55) then see if the 43 returns or not. Also, have you checked the egr valve.
