Chrysler Repair: 94 chrys t & c minivan: no start, no code?, windshield washer fluid, fuse box

Question
QUESTION: What 's the green dot on dashboard (above odometer) mean when it flashes ? Van died today while driving , won't start now , nor will it give me any codes when I key on,off now.... only little green lite flash...????? any Idea?

ANSWER: Hi John,
That question may have me stumped. I looked the '93 and 95 shop manuals with no luck, except on the digital dash (and perhaps the conventional dash?) that light is the windshield washer fluid bottle needs to be filled. So check that possibility out. I don't believe it is related to the "no start".
When you say no codes don't you even get a 55, which means "end of readout"? If that were the case then maybe you aren't cycling it on-off-on-off-on and leave on, doing that in less than 5 seconds. If you get the 55, then I would check for spark, and let me know which engine you have because there could be an explanation for a failure that doesn't set a code, like the distributor rotor or cap if you have the 3.0L engine. So let me know more details and maybe we can get you rolling again.

QUESTION: sorry bout that, it's the 3.8 . Has digital dash. tried 5 different times to key code , even 2 more 2 hrs later still no codes, or a 55 . And checked washer fluid , but still a blinking little green , above the 100's mark on odometer. haven't checked for any spark ,but will .

ANSWER: Right, I see that the warning visual of the van shows the washer bottle light. I must have been misinformed, unless could that be a light for low washer fluid on the rear washer reservoir?
In any case, let me know about spark. Missing even the 55 makes me wonder if the computer has gone out, or lost one of its power sources perhaps. The check engine light does glow when you turn the ignition to 'run', correct? Check fuses 9,15,16, and 20 in the power box under the hood. Look to see if one of those is labelled "engine".

John,
Revise that: check 9,15,16, and 20 in the fuse box under the dash, and check the fuse labelled "engine" in the underhood power distribution center.

QUESTION: was # 16 fuse under dash. but wire from fuse box to body connect , had to replace the wire burned in two . and still blows 15 and 30 amp fuses... so what else could be the cause of wire burnning????Hope your vac was good also..

Answer
Hi John,
I don't understand what you found about fuse #16  except that it blew? What do you mean by "but wire from fuse box to body connect, had to replace the wire burned in two". Which wire are you descibing and do you mean that when you but a 15 or even 30 it still blows? Is the wire still o.k. Was this a dark blue/white wire? It goes to about 8 different modules so any one of those could be shorted to ground. Before going into that please let me know.
