Nissan Repair: vibration of steering wheel, boneheads, foot pounds

Question
recently my 2005 titan has started to have a vibration in steering wheel when braking its more noticable when i am braking at a faster speed. had tire balanced didnt help what other things could it be?

Answer
Brad,

The front rotors are warped.  If the vehicle is under warranty have them turn the rotors and replace the pads.  There is a technical service bulletin for this so tell them that and also make sure that your Titan has the revised torque beams.  These are the metal parts that the calipers bolt to.  Make sure the boneheads do not over torque the rotors since Nissan recommends 80 foot pounds only.  Have them verify or give them a word on the subject.
