Chrysler Repair: 1988 Le Baron headlamp door motor repair, salvage companies, rhine river

Question
Hi Roland--you answered my question about the concealed headlamp doors.  It is the motor gears that are worn.  I've been looking online without much luck to find the motor.  I have called quite a few salvage companies looking for the motor.  Do you have any leads on a motor that you can send me??  Thanks a bunch.  Judy

Answer
Hi Judy,
I suspect the the internal plastic (nylon) bushings are what is worn. I just bought a new set of bushings for my door motor. I got them from eBayseller rsreinhart, 8883 Rhine River Av., Fountain Valley,CA 92708. You get enough to do two motors worth, 6 bushings, for $10.00 including shipping. So check that out. You get instruction on how to open the motor and do the replacement. I haven't done mine yet, but am ready to do so. You should find his listing under concealed headlamp motor Chrysler, or some similar search term, or write directly to the address above
