Chrysler Repair: Flywheel possible problem for a 1999 sebring JXI, torque converter clutch, acceleration problems

Question
  Hi Kevin,
Thanks for offering your services.  I am having acceleration problems with my car.  At a stop, when I stomp on the gas, it is so slow to accelerate but on the highway it drives fine and this has been driving me crazy.  Originally when this was happening, no codes were being thrown, but now I am geeting P740 and P1784, which are transmission codes, at least the P740 is.  Anyways, here is what I have done to try to fix it:  Changed plugs, wires, cap, and rotor; changed fuel filter; changed MAP sensor; changed catalytic converter and the 2 surrounding Oxygen sensors; had a transmission fluid flush done; and I the timing belt and water pump replaced.  Now, I went to a 'so-called' Chrysler expert on this matter and they were having problems finding the problem.  He finally told me that they had a car just like mine a few years ago and it ended up needing the flywheel to be replaced.  In your expert opinions, is this a plausible reason for my problem?  Please help.  Thanks so much.  Dave Hamilton

Answer
P0740-TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH CONTROL CIRCUIT

9 times out of 10  u need a new converter.

this may or may not even be related to the original issue u have.
besides throwing parts at it  have u done any diog?  fuel pressure  things along that line?
