Chrysler Repair: 1997 T&C minivan: memory,AC self-diagnostics, diagnostic capabilities, inboard side

Question
I just bought a 1997 LXi minivan and cannot get it to reprogram the memory seat.  I've tried the manual instructions many times and as soon as I use teh unlock on remote, it goes back to a previously programmed adjustment.

Is there another way to reset it?  Also, the recirc and A/C lights are flashing together on the dash panel.  I've tried the directions from the net, but they stay lit.

Answer
Hi Anita,
I would take a look at the memory seat module which is under the driver seat, on the upper track of the inboard side of the seat. It has three plugs, so makes sure they are all installed. Then let me know if you have a voltmeter and I can tell you where to look for the power voltage for the memory.
On the flashing lights, I would try the cooldown test again, and if you get the same result then that means the cooling function is not meeting the expectations for its performance. It could be the refrigerant level is getting low or some other problem with the AC system. The section of the manual about the diagnostic capabilities of the heater/ac system is about 8 pages in length. I could xerox copy and mail them to you. It cost me about 10 cents per side so with postage my costs would be about covered by three 42 cent stamps which you could return to me after you get the pages. Use the "thank and rate" tab to list your postal mailing address if you want me to do that.
Your question just appeared in the "pool", sorry for the delay.
