Answer
Hi Julio,
Do you mean the automatic speed control is not doing its job? Or do you mean the engine doesn't run well?
Let me know...
The one thing you can do that might be helpful it to get the fault code numbers that may be stored in the engine computer by using the ignition key: "on-off-on-off-on and leave it on" doing that within an elapsed time of 5 seconds or less. Then watch the check engine light which will remain "on" to begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat to be sure you have an accurate count. Then group the counts in pairs in the order of appearance to create the 2-digit fault code numbers. The last pair of numbers is always 5 5, the 55 code is for "end of readout". The other 2-digit code numbers can be found at www.allpar.com/fix/codes.html
or you can write me back and tell me the numbers. If any are relevant to your problem we can then go on. But explain what you mean by "speed goes down"...do you mean it changes to a different constant speed, or does it not control the speed at all? Or?
