Chrysler Repair: Interior trim panels, weather striping, cable clamp

Question
I have a 2001 Town & Country LX to which I just added a class II trailer hitch. Now I need to install the wiring harness which was specifically made with the Chrysler connectors. I know I have to access the rear lights from the inside and I know how to plug in the harness. What I'm not sure of is removing the inside panels to get to the rear light connectors. I don't want to just start pulling especially since the innermost weather striping overlaps the edge of the panels. What's the best way to proceed?

Thanks!
