Chrysler Repair: 99 Cirrus oil pressure sender, oil pressure sender, cirrus

My 99 Cirrus 6-cyl with 110,000 miles is now on it's 4th sender. The first failed with false low oil indications, but each after that has developed a leak. I know it's near the filter and I'm very careful not to hit it when I change the oil. Why do these senders keep developing leaks? Any insight?

No, I haven't heard of this sort of a problem. Have you been getting the replacements from a dealer's parts counter? Are the one's your getting all the same brand? I would consider alternative vendor's for this device. Please let me know what you learn. You might ask Kevin what he knows about this issue.
