Chrysler Repair: Chrysler van will not start, diagnostic check, chrysler

Question
I have a 2000 chrysler. After 8 weeks at the shop I was told that the computer is out. Should the van go through a diagnostic check to find out for sure. I don't want to pay for something and that is not the problem.

well  u would kinda hope that they have gone through a diagnostic check if its been there for 8 weeks.  What did they say was wrong with the computer?  Describe your no start condition to me.  Spin over no fire, nothing at all,  cluster gauges work  anything that u see was not working wright.
