Answer
Hi David,
Can you tell which wheel cylinder/caliper is expelling air from its bleeder when you first try the bleed process? That would lead me to suspect a leak from that one and so inspect it very carefully. Otherwise, you may have a master cylinder that was never bled properly when first installed. There is a simple master cylinder bleed kit which allows you to fit a transparent feedback loop for the fluid at each outlet of the master cylinder and pump it back into the reservoir. You remove the line from each of the master outlets, one at a time, attach the feedback loop and with a helper operating the pedal, pump the brake pedal until there is no more air expelled from that line; then do the other outlet similarly. It may even be the case that if you detach and attach each line carefully, keeping them upright, that you won't have to bleed out at the four wheels. Assuming you truly have no leaks then I can't give you anyother suggestions. If you have ABS, recall that there are several reservoirs and lines within that system where a leak could be occuring so inspect that system too.
