Chrysler Repair: 97 Neon trouble code: 11, 1391, crank shaft position sensor, shaft position

Question
Hi. I have a 97 Neon. The check engine light keeps coming on after about five minutes of driving. If I read the codes using the ignition key way, I get error code 11. If I use a scan tool, it shows as P1390. What do you think is the problem and do you know how to go about fixing it? Thank you

Answer
Hi JC,
The 11 code says the crank shaft position sensor is not putting out a signal, and the 1390 says the relationship between the crank and cam signal is not good. It suggests to me that the crank signal is not strong. The sensor is just behind the generator, above the oilfilter, attached to the block.
Sorry to be slow in responding. Your question was referred to the "pool" where I only recently noticed it.
