Chrysler Repair: Crankshaft pulley install: 2.7L V-6, crankshaft pulley, 1999 dodge intrepid

Question
Good Morning
I have a 1999 dodge intrepid that I changed the timing belt and water pump in.The Problem what is the best way to get the cranshaft pulley back on and where can I find a new bolt? Also what size thread is it?I want to clean the threads in crankshaft

Answer
Hi Bill,
If you are speaking of the 2.7L engine then my '98 manual shows there is a special tool (Miller 8179 screw, with nut and thrust bearing from tools 6792 and 6792-1 installer). There is also a tool for holding the pulley (8191).  A new bolt would be available from a dealer, and unfortunately the manual doesn't list the theads. I don't have personal experience to tell you whether you need all these tools.
Let me know what you learn, please.
There are different numbered tools for the 3.2L.
