How do you get the belt tensioner off.  Also how do you replace with new belt, are any special tools needed?

Which engine do you have? There are three possibilities so I can't answer the question. It would be helpful to have a shop manual pages that show how to replace the belt. If you don't have one, I can xerox copy the pages and postal mail them to you on Monday. Use the "thank and rate" tab where you will find a comments space in which to enter a postal mail address.
