Answer
Hi Dan,
The problem is the blower motor resistor is burned out. You can get another one at a parts store for around $25. Last night I answered the same question as follows:
It is quite easy. It is located in the heater distribution box under the dash on the right side. To get access to see it he would begin by removing the lower edge panel/duct of the dash on the passenger side. There is a push-pin fastener (gently pry out the very center of it to release it) at the right hand end of the panel/duct and once you release that you should be able to remove it by manipulating the other end of it at the edge of center stack. Then with the new visibility notice at the underside of the HVAC box there is a round shape on the underside of the right end of the box. That is where the blower motor is located. He will see a pair of twisted wires coming from that area which if followed go to a plug directly into the resistor block which is mounted on the under side of the box in an air distribution duct. Pull the plug and then notice thare are 2 screws mounted veritically, heads down, on either side of the socket from which the plug was removed. Remove those 2 screws and the resistor block will drop down vertically from the duct for replacement with the new one. Before you insert it notice whether the resistors are touching one another. If so, separated them gently with the tip of a pencil. Then reverse the process of disassembly and you will have your heater blower working again.
