Chrysler Repair: 1997 Plymouth Breeze Horn, pin fasteners, fuse block

Question
I just bought a horn for my 1997 Plymouth Brezze, but I can find where the old horn is to swap it out. The engine is 2.0L...please help!

Answer
Hi Monique,
The horn(s) are behind the front bumper facia, mounted on the very front of the right side of the frame of the vehicle. You have to lift up the right front and put it on a supporting jack. Then there will be a splash shield that still hides the horm. It is held in place by push-pin fasteners which you relesed by gently prying out the center pin which then allows the entire fastener to come loose. You should then be able to see and remove the horn.
Are you sure that the horn itself if bad? I would check to see whether the horn relay located in the fuse block under the dash will click when you try the horn; it is the one in the lower right corner of the three relays. Also check fuse 8 in that block if the relay doesn't click. It could also be possible that the clockspring in the steering column that connects the steering wheel to the column electrically is broken. Because There are two horns, and both don't work?, I would suspect that the horn(s) are not your problem.
So check out the electricals before you get into the horn replacement itself. If the relay doesn't click let me know and I will help you figure this out, but check the fuse too.
