Chrysler Repair: Wheel removal, wheel nuts, rust remover

Question
I went outside this morning and saw that I have a Flat tire, easy enough right? I can't take the tire off the to change it, it's stuck. How can I get this thing off( back passenger side). Thank you for any suggestions

Answer
Hi Troy,
You didn't tell me how far you have gotten in removing the wheel, but I assume that the wheel nuts did come off and the problem is the wheel still won't come loose. My suspicion is that the wheel is rusted to the brake drum/flange. I would put some rust remover/penetrating oil on the inner seam of the wheel opening and in the edges of the nut holes in the wheel and as well, then after maybe a half hour try both rotating the wheel back and forth (with the emergency brake locked) and rocking it from side-to-side/top-to-bottom so as to try and release the rusted together surfaces. One final thing to try would be to lower the jack until the tire is touching the ground (but not so low as to put the full weight of the vehicle on the tire) and then push the rear of the car from side to side which should put the maximal leverage on the interface. But be sure to have the car still partially supported by the jack so that if the wheel pops loose the car doesn't fall on the ground!
