I have a 98 Caravan and saw the anwser you gave about blinking lights. What should I do if it fails the cool down test?

That would indicate, I believe, that the AC system is not adequately compressing the refrigerant or expanding it properly so as to achieve the desired cooldown. That would suggest having an AC service shop take a look at the system to see if it needs to be recharged.
What indication did you get that leads you to believe it failed the cooldown test?
This whole section on self-diagnostics is quite lengthy and probably the best thing to do is to xerox the pages and postal mail it to you. You can use the "thank and rate" tab to enter your postal mailing address and I will copy and send these. It runs 8 pages so my cost, including the postage would be covered if you will in return after you receive the pages send me back three 41 cent stamps.
