Chrysler Repair: 92 Dodge Spirit: 2.5L no start, throttle position sensor, coolant temp

Question
We replaced the EGR valve. There was no drops after we were done cranking. Can you give me a list of sensors that I should check?

Answer
The sensors that determine mixture issues are the coolant temp sensor (which should read 7-14,000 ohms when cold), the MAP seensor (which should read 4.67V at engine 'off' on the dark green/red, and drops when you  are cranking it to something below 4, and maybe around 2v if you can get it to catch, though these are approximations), and finally the throttle position sensor whose resistance should be measured between the center contact and either end contact and found to vary smoothly in resistance as you move the throttle valve open and closed). But these are secondary to whether you have spark or not, any other fault codes you might read, and even you might want to check the spark plugs and the compression. Do you have spark? and do you have a fine spray of gas on the throttle plate while cranking it over? Those are an absolute minimum for starting. Any sign of ignition momentarily? Or are there no signs of fuel exploding in the cylinders?
These are all things that impact the ability to start. That is about all I can offer, Derrick.
