Chrysler Repair: 96 Sebring no start, chrysler sebring, coil pack

Question
i started my 1996 chrysler sebring conv 2.5L 24 valve for about 5 min...then turned it off...i went back out 2 hours later 2 start the car for work and nothing...its getting fuel all fuses are good but the spark off the plugs are a redish orange. i was told that that wasnt hot enough for the gas to ignite meaning that the coil pack maybe messed up. im only 18 and am on my own so this car is important 2 my life. is this a coil pack or is it somthing else...the timing belt is good and also it started up like a champ 2 hours before this happened...the coil pack is not cracked or broken from what i see...but is there a chance it isnt putting enough wattage to the wires...please let me know what u think...thank u so much.

Answer
Hi Chris,
The best thing to do is to read out the engine controller memory for fault codes that it may have stored that will give us direction on where to look. Use the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the check engine light which remains "on" to begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat to assure an accurate set of counts. Then group the counts in pairs in the order of appearance to form the 2-digit fault code numbers. Then write me back with the results or go to www.allpar.com/fix/codes.html for a code list.
The last code number will always be 55 (e.g. two sets of 5 flashes in each) because it is the code for "end of readout". I have some other ideas if no codes come out but chances are there is a relevant code. Tell me whether you have a sedan or a convertible Sebring.
