Chrysler Repair: hood release cable is broken:LH body, release cable, chrylser

the hood release cable is broken on chrylser concord 1999 was wanting to know if there is some way that i can get the hood open to repair the cable or if there may be a special tool i can get assist in opening

The manual suggests that you can go in from underneath, behind the front fascia, and access the latch mechanism where the lever that is normally pulled by the cable (latch pawl) can be actuated by hand when you reach up. I haven't tried it myself, but give it a try. If you can't picture the situation, look for another owner of a similar car an inquire if you could look at how their latch is released.
