Chrysler Repair: 2000 concorde 3.2, crank shaft, torque specs

Question
do you have torque specs for main bearing

Answer
Hi Shaun,
My '98  manual shows three different bolts are involved;
Tighten the inner main cap bolts first, then the windage tray bolts, and lastly the main cap tie bolts.
Main bearing cap bolts are tightened to 20 N-m + 1/4 turn (15 ft-lbs + 1/4 turn)
Measure crank shaft endplay (0.1-0.3mm)
Install windage tray. Lubricate bolts with engine oil and tighten to 27 N-m + 1/4 turn (20 ft-lbs + 1/4 turn)
Install main cap  tie (horizontal) bolts and tighten to 28 N-m (250 in-lb).
Install oil pump pickup tube and oil pan.
There is an long explanation about bearing installation procedure with drawing etc. which I can only xerox copy and U.S. mail to you as the sight won't post drawings.
Good luck.
