Chrysler Repair: 1995 Chyrsler LeBaron Radiator Fan wont run, radiator fan, hi doug

Question
I changed the Heat Cooling Sensor by the Thermostat Housing, The Fan, and the Radiator as mine cracked when it ran hot last.  The only way the Fan will run is turn on the A/C.  If you let the engine get hot, it will not start the Fan...you have to turn on the A/C.  I swapped out the Fan Relay in the Control box with the same # (Fuel Pump), no change????
I am thinking about running the Fan Green wire to a hot wire when the ignition is turned on so the Fan runs with the ignition.  I ran the fan with the A/C for the last two years (yes it burned up the Fan, but I got two years!) I am going to sell this car as soon as I figure this Fan situation out!

Answer
Hi Doug,
Check that the wires from the sensor plug to the engine controller are patent:black/light blue should connect to pin 4 and tan/black should connect to pin 2 of the 60-way plug. If those are conducting, then check the temp sensor resistance which should drop to about 1,000 ohms or lower when the engine is warmed up, and that should initiate the relay so as to power up the fan. The relay is fine, you just need to get the temp control function from the computer to activate it.
