Chrysler Repair: 1994 Dodge B250 Heating&Air Conditioning, intake plenum, motor shaft

Question
I can air to come out of any of my vents.(floor,windshied,ect.).  The blower motor works great on all speeds and the vents change when you hit the buttons.  I just can't seem to get the air to come out.  PLEASE HELP VERY COLD.

Answer
Hi Bernie,
I don't know any details about the truck heating systems, but in general there is no reason why air shouldn't come out from the blower ducts, unless the air intake is blocked. I would begin by looking for the air intake plenum, under a grill that is right in front of the windshield, remove the grill and check to see that the air intake isn't blocked with leaves or some such obstruction. The air distribution doors work, and as far as I know the only other air door is the one that splits the air to go more or less to the heater core or the ac evaporator core. But there is no reason for the air to be blocked entirely in the distribution box. So that is why I suspect you aren't getting air into the intake for the blower.
Maybe a duct has collapsed, OR the blower fan blade unit has come loose from the blower motor shaft is another possibility you should check. The motor could be spinning but not turning the fan proper.
